Live Oak Stable is a haven for people and
horses. A place where one can relax in an
environment that is clean and comfortable. A place
where your horse is lavished with tender loving care
by Debbi Stewart, Valerie Ammerman, and Terry &
Donna Armstrong. The facility is located on 10 acres
in Summerdale, Alabama just minutes from Gulf Shores
and less than an hour from Pensacola, Fl and Mobile,
AL.
About five years ago, Terry and Donna’s life changed
forever. Donna fell in love with Sonny, her first
horse, a Tennessee Walker. Terry had longed to own
horses for a long time and now that Donna had fallen
in love they were on their way. Everything was now
planned around horses. Debbi Stewart was the first
person they came to know in the equine industry and
they are certain it was God ordained. Soon after
meeting Debbi,
Gen’s Howl at the Moon joined the
family. Now Terry had his first horse. Debbi joined
the Armstrongs in January 2003 and Live Oak Stable
was born. They planned to go slow and not jump in
the industry too fast but the need for a facility
that had full-time trained people and a clean safe
environment for horses was in too great a demand. By
June 2003, all the stalls were filled and a waiting
list has existed since that time. |
